設ABC的三邊長為a、b、c，且a、b、c為方程式x3−14x2+62x−88=0的三根，求ABC的面積=　　　。
[解答]
令f(x)=x3−14x2+62x−88
a+b+c=14，S=2a+b+c=214=7
f(S)=f(7)=3
所求三角形面積
=Sf(S)=73=21
