對於任意實數 \(a\)，
\(f ' \left(x\right)\) 為首項係數為正的三次函數，\(\lim\limits_{x\to\infty}f'(x)=\infty, \lim\limits_{x\to-\infty}f'(x)=-\infty\)，則 \(f'(x)=0\) 恆有實根.
亦即，\(f(x)\) 為首項係數為正的四次函數，恆有極小值.
故，當 \(a\) 為任意實數時，\(f(x)\) 恆有極值。
