因為三角形內角和為 180°
所以 A＋B＋C＝180°，即 A＝180°－（B＋C）
sin A ＝ sin｛180°－（B＋C）｝
＝ sin （B＋C）
＝ sin B cos C ＋ cos B sin C

利用餘弦函數的和角公式 cos(α－β)＝cosαcosβ＋sinαsinβ
所以等號左手邊可以如下合併
cos 3X/2 cos X/2＋sin 3X/2 sin X/2 ＝ 根號{2}/2
→ cos{3X/2 －X/2} ＝根號{2}/2
→ cos{X} ＝根號{2}/2
→ 畫一個單位圓，看一下幾度的餘弦函數值會等於 根號{2}/2
→ X ＝45° 或是 315°
